Artist Statement
I am an artist who uses photography to engage others with the natural world by sharing unique and unexpected perspectives. I find my greatest inspiration in places where water meets land, the water's edge. Not only are these places rich in biodiversity, they are also some of the most beautiful.
Blue Glacier Then & Now Project
My most recent project is Blue Glacier Then & Now: A Personal Photographic Story of Climate Change Spanning 40 Years. In it I returned in the summer of 2022 to recreate images I first captured in the summer of 1982 on the Blue Glacier in Olympic NationalPark. Over the past four decades the park has lost close to 50% of its glacial ice. This is my personal climate change story. By sharing our stories we can open meaningful conversations about our changing planet. For more information: http://blueglacierthenandnow.org/
